Best PC Games of 2010

Starcraft II _ Gamespot

2010 is a good year for gamers since most of the awesome games was released on the said year, sadly I don’t have that much time to play most of them unlike before. Therefore I decided to share this post that I saw on Gamespot.com giving out their top 10 PC games for the year 2010. With all honesty. I am not very happy with the nominated games, I mean there are other games who deserve people’s attention like Red Dead Redemption and WOW. Putting those aside, I am really happy since Starcraft II Wings of Liberty which is a game I really love won the first place.

The time I read about this event, it gave me the idea of making my top 10 PC games as well, but I don’t have them atm. So let me know what your top 10 PC games are and lets compare.. (:p)

Dragon Nest

Dragon_Nest

Dragon Nest is a F2P (Free to Play) MMORPG (Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game) developed by Eyedentity Games and produced by Nexon. It uses a non targeting third person combat system that assures user to take control over everything on the game specially the character movements.

It is a dungeon stage type game. You will be on a village when you are not on a quest then, from there you need to gather quests to continue with the story and ofcourse there are also optional quests that you can spend some time with. Once you get your quests you will go to a dungeon and select a stage and level of certain types (Easy, Medium, Hard, Master, Abyss).

(You can just click on the image above to see the full size)

So the game starts with the creation of characters. You have 4 options to choose from (Warrior, Archer, Force User, Cleric). The starting point is devided into 2 parts. If you choose Warrior or Archer. You’ll start in a small village of guards and archers. If you select Cleric or Force User, you’ll start in a village full of spell casters. In other words, there are 2 starting points depending on the class you selected respectively.

After you reach a certain level you will be allowed to choose your specialty or commonly known as “Job Change”. You can see the list of jobs or specialties here.

I’m currently playing on the CN server since the US and SEA servers are not out yet. I thought of knowing the environment of the game. The gameplay is cool. It is just like playing Gunz Online or any other online TPS. Others might not like the game because of its “Cartoonic” characters but that is just how I like games to be (CUTE). Putting the looks of the characters aside. This game is extremely enjoyable and because of its action packed feature having dull moments is avoided.

See it for yourself.

Thumbs up for Eyedentity games for making this game. I (<3) it!

Taiyou no Uta

TNUDVD

I watched Taiyou no Uta (Song of the Sun) since YUI stars in it. If you read my previous post I talked about her growth and her passion when it comes to music. In addition to her amazing singing career, she also had a movie which is Taiyou no Uta.

The story is simple. We have a girl named Kaoru (YUI) who is suffering from a decease called Xeroderma Pigmentosum (XP) which is also might be described as allergy from UV Rays. So she is not allowed to be exposed to sunlight. This girl has a crush on a high school student who loves surfing and one night they saw each other and Kaoru out of nowhere knocked the guy down and started talking about her feelings towards the guy and that’s where they started going out at night.

The movie is not a must-watch in my opinion. YUIs acting is shaky but if you know her personality being a shy and innocent girl then her acting on the movie fits her. You can base it by watching some of her interviews then you’ll recognize that its not like she’s acting on the movie but she’s just being herself. But if you’re that person who doesn’t know these facts about YUI then you’ll find the long pauses between conversation being awkward.

YUI Looks so pure on the movie. Well, she always looks like that anyways so yeah (:]) (-up)

SONGS FEATURED IN THE MOVIE:

There is really something on YUI’s voice. I don’t know for sure but I’d say what it is in my opinion. SOUL (e0)

YUI YOSHIOKA

I was listening to the song Rolling Star, C.H.E.R.R.Y , and Again since last year and I really do like em. So I decided to write something about the songs singer, YUI YOSHIOKA, she is more known as YUI.

YUI is born march 26, 1987. She is one of the many Japanese singer-songwriter. But what makes her outstanding is her unique ‘kawaii’ voice. She is also an instrumentalist, composer, music arranger and actress. She is currently signed to Studioseven Recordings and attached to the talent agency Stardust Promotion.

From what I know, she grew up in a single-parent family. It was her mother who raised her since her father left her mother before she was born.  It was also her mother who gave her a good start on becoming a song writer. Her mother advised her to write a journal of her feelings. After a few years of doing so, she started to compose poem out of her journal, when she started high school, she also started writing songs, thanks to the good start that YUI’s mother gave her.

This awesome girl is not from a wealthy family so she struggled for her schools finances, she took a part time job to support her tuition fees and because of her "so busy" life. She lost track of her goal of entering the world of music. One day, she got hospitalized and by that time, she started thinking back of her dream of a music career, she was overwhelmed with the desire of making music. Because of which she came with the conclusion that her music career and school could not coexist. When she got out of hospital she encountered a street performance of the band Bianco Nero, eventually she expressed her feelings towards music to the band and the band advised her to join a private school of music. Taking the advice from the band, Yui eventually dropped out of high school and she started studying guitar and songwriting at a juku in her hometown Fukuoka. She started street performing at Fukuoka’s Tenjin Station and this helped her overcome shyness.

YUI started her professional music career in March 2004 and she is still active in the world of music until now.

But when I checked on YouTube 2 days ago I was able to find a couple of YUI’s video so yeah! Lets ROCK! (:]) (-up)

Fountain Boxes

To start 2011 right, I decided to re-build this website and start writing again. Since its new year, I’m going to write how awkward I celebrated my new year with my friends.

This is the first time I celebrated new year away from my family. I thought it will be a sad celebration but I was wrong. I welcome 2011 with my friends. We are at the 48th floor of this building and we watched fireworks together. It feels weird because its my first time to watch fireworks not looking at the sky (:S) . We are just looking outside our windows all around the place and we can see colorful fireworks everywhere. Green, blue, yellow, red, purple etc.. my friends brought food for us to eat and together with that, some of my friends also brought some music player so that we can enjoy our the fireworks with music and food. Shortly after 12 midnight, the fireworks displays are over and we are now back to our seats thinking what to do next. I roam around and I smell something nice.. Yes its vodka I smell vodka. While waiting for nothing at that time, we decided to play Defense of The Ancient (DoTA) to have fun and to kill time. It was horrible, the computer that I’m using on that place is crappy as hell. But still, its not the worst. At least I was able to have some fun with my friends. After a few rounds, my friend gave me a glass of Iced Tea for refreshment. Without hesitation I drank it and I felt hot after (The taste is gross) and yeah it was Iced Tea with Vodka. I felt like I was slapped on the face after that shot luckily there are still enough cola to remedy the bitter taste. Not long after that shot, I was in a game then suddenly I fell asleep (:D) when I woke up the game is already over. An hour after that certain event, I left the building and kept thinking what should I do next? Then I came up with the idea of writing what happened. While on my way to my house, I felt more happy after seeing how messy the whole place is. Paper trashes all, the smell of gun powder, Fountain Boxes all over the place. It appears that everyone had fun during the night. Seeing that place actually gives me some spirit to do more. So here I am writing while my motivation is still up and for me to keep the good experience I had at the end of 2010.

Well, I guess that’s it. HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!! (:]) (-up)
